Building WTC 7 for your self

There is nothing quite creating a model to fully understand a problem, and I want to understand what really happened to Building 7 during the 7 seconds that it took to metamorphorise from a 37 story tall steel frame building into a pile of dust and rubble.

To build a model one needs plans. A long search on the Internet reveals no architectural plans, were as I would have thought they would have been mandiratory study material for all architects by now (why ? to avoid a similar disaster happening again); however the NIST report on the Collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 does have these floor plans and elevation views, which are sufficient (just) for building a model with reasonable fidelity.

About Wellington News

I found out what we viscerally all new all along when we saw the twin towers blowing up in front of our eyes. It just took a number of years to admit it. And a few more thinking about it before talking about. And now I find every one else is too.
